I don’t own this one yet. That’s the part that actually bugs me.
The LEGO Gringotts Wizarding Bank (76417) is retiring at the end of July and I’ve been on the restock notification list at the LEGO Shop for months. Nothing. And since this is a LEGO exclusive, you’re not walking into a Target or finding it on Amazon. It’s LEGO.com and LEGO Stores only at retail, and right now both are empty.
If you somehow find it at the MSRP of $429.99 you buy it immediately. No thinking, no waiting, no hunting for a coupon code. You just buy it.
Why This Set Is That Serious
4,803 pieces. 13 minifigures. A working vault cart track that stops at three underground vaults. A poseable Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon with fabric wings. The thing is over 29 inches tall when fully assembled. And if you already own the Diagon Alley set (75978), these two connect into one of the most ridiculous displays you can put in a room.
The minifig lineup is genuinely great. Harry, Ron, and Hermione all come with alternate heads and hair for their Polyjuice Potion disguises. Bellatrix Lestrange. Hagrid. Griphook. Goblin bankers. A Death Eater. For a Harry Potter fan this is the set, not just one of them.

If you find this at MSRP, build it. That’s what it’s for. The secondary market prices are just the reality of what this set is worth to people who missed it.

- BrickLink: Around $600 right now for sealed copies. If you want it before July, this is probably your best bet.

If you find it at $429.99, you buy it. July is weeks away and LEGO is not restocking this. I’ve been trying for months.
