LEGO has already told us Godzilla is coming. That part is official. What LEGO has not told us is when, how big, or how much, and that is where the leaks come in, because the leaked numbers are enormous.
According to leaks, LEGO Ideas 21375 Godzilla is a roughly 5,360-piece monster arriving on November 27, 2026, which is Black Friday, with a possible gift with purchase riding along. The price is the messy part, and we will get to it.
Here is what is official, what is rumor, and what we would actually do about it.

From Fan Design to 5,000 Pieces
This set began as a fan project. MattE720’s Godzilla was first submitted to LEGO Ideas in 2023, reportedly resubmitted in 2024 after a rules change welcomed bigger models, and won its place in the third 2024 review, approved in June 2025 alongside the Tintin Moon Rocket. The Moon Rocket already came out in April at $159.99. Godzilla is the other winner from that round, and it has taken longer.
The fan version was much smaller than the leaks suggest. It was around 2,500 to 3,000 pieces with no minifigures, built around Godzilla’s look in Legendary’s recent MonsterVerse films, including Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. If the 5,360 figure is right, LEGO roughly doubled the size during development.
For scale, that would beat 21373 Downton Abbey, which is also an Ideas set, at 4,711 pieces and $349.99. Downton Abbey opens to Insiders October 1 and to everyone October 4, so you can put the two side by side within days of each other.
The Price Problem
This is where the reports fall apart. Stonewars’ set table lists $449.99. Other reports cite about €400, and some outlets converted that to roughly $600. We think the $600 figure is a conversion error rather than a leak.
Our reasoning is simple. LEGO’s US price on recent sets has landed between one and about 1.17 times its euro price. Tintin Moon Rocket was $159.99 and €159.99. The LEGO PlayStation is $179.99 and €159.99. Downton Abbey is $349.99 and €299.99. Apply that range to €400 and you get somewhere around $400 to $470, which puts $449.99 right in the middle. That is our inference, not a leak, so treat it as a planning number and nothing more.

The takeaway: at $449.99 this would be normal Ideas pricing for a big model, not a gouge. At $600 it would be a very different conversation. It would also top every set on LEGO’s own Godzilla announcement page, where the priciest Ideas set today is the $399.99 Grand Piano, and $449.99 would clear that too.
Black Friday and the Gift With Purchase
LEGO has a habit of launching a big Ideas or Icons set on Black Friday. Last year it was 10356 U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, released alongside a 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod freebie. November 27 fits that pattern.
The gift rumor comes from the Brick Tap channel via a leaker called Chief Wiggum: a Godzilla footprint that includes a printed tile with Mothra on it, dropping into your cart when you buy the set. Brick Fanatics noted back in June that there were no hints yet of a gift with this one, so this is a single-source rumor. Do not plan around it.
Here is a fun footnote. Back in March, Brick Fanatics spotted a giant Godzilla-like figure peering over the skyline in a LEGO magazine poster about City and Speed Champions sets. My honest read: nothing to do yet, but it is worth setting a ceiling before the hype does it for you. If this lands near $449.99, the per-piece math is fair for a set this size, and I would call it a good price for what it is. If a real $600 figure appears, that is a different decision, and I would want to see the finished build before paying it.
The bigger issue is the calendar. If the reports hold, your fall looks like this: Downton Abbey and the rest of the October wave, then the Shenron set around November 1, then Godzilla on Black Friday. Add those up at rumored prices and you are close to $1,000 across three sets in about two months. Plan for that now.
What I would watch for: an official reveal, which ComicBook expects in October, plus a confirmed price and whether LEGO announces a gift with purchase. We will update this page the moment any of it firms up.
